Summary:
Andrzej Stasiuk is one of the most successful and internationally acclaimed contemporary Polish writes and literary critics. He is best known for his essays and stories in which he describes the reality of a human being and its difficult existence. The article presents a concept of the philosophical context of his works. First of all, the writer talks about alienation and traditional cultural values. His stories are similar to the context of philosophy of Miquel de Unamuno. Life is always the voyage to memory land. This is a hard truth about problems that are enclosed in a small, private “myth of genesis”, myth of existence.
