This article concerns the pl.pregierz group, one of the Polish Usenet groups. It’s a place where users can condemn something (more rarely they express approval). Discussions on the homosexuality, which took place in the year 2005, were in a high measure provoked by a ban on the Equality Parade, established by the then President of Warsaw, Lech Kaczyński. Users undertook detailed issues, such as legalizing homosexual marriages, and general issues, such as discrimination of minorities, for example. In many discussions in the pl.pregierz group the polarisation of viewpoints occurs, as well as the dominance of emotions over rational argumentation.
