Summary:
The main aim of the article is to present a history and a development of television in Olsztyn from its beginning in 1957 to 2002 – when Warmia and Mazury Regional Centre of Polish Television was open. The author writes about the actions, activities and the people who have created television in the capitol of Warmia and Mazury during almost fifty years. The reflections are based on many articles from local press, memories of the people who were involved in a process of creating television and the interviews with them. The author introduces the creators of television in Olsztyn – Ryszard Czerwiński, Kazimierz Biniaś, Janusz Ulatowski, Wiesław Gawinek Stanisław Pawliczak, Bogumił Osiński, Jarosław Kowalski.
