REGULATIONS CONCERNING TEACHING OF THE SUBJECT: INTRODUCTION TO PEDIATRICS
1. The classes in Introduction to aediatrics shall take place in:
2. The classes shall take place from 8:00 to 18:15. 3. The classes shall comprise lectures, as well as laboratories and seminars at the bedside. The practical classes and the lectures shall take place according to the timetable, within the hours provided for in the classes schedule. The student is obliged to participate in the classes together with the group to which he/she has been allocated at the beginning of the academic year. Before entering the classrooms, it is required that the outdoor clothing be left at the cloakroom. In order to participate in laboratories, the student should be equipped with a white gown, disposable gloves, and a change of shoes. The student is obliged to observe the principles of personal hygiene. 4. The students must have and use a notebook. All the drawings made in the notebook shall be done with a due care in pencil or crayons. Tape-recording lectures, taking photos or making films shall be strictly forbidden. 5. The student shall remain in the classroom only in the presence of the lecturer. Leaving the classroom during classes without obtaining the lecturer’s permission shall be forbidden. 6. Student’s presence in the classes is compulsory. Each absence must be justified and a “pass” must be received for the missed classes, according to the principles specified by the lecturer. The deadline for providing the justification for the absence is one week. In the event the absence is not justified, the decision whether the “pass” is to be granted shall be taken by the Head of the Department. The obligation to participate in the lectures shall be specified by the lecturer. 7. The student is obliged to be prepared for each subsequent class with respect to the currently analysed material, according to the specified layout of the programme. The lecturer is entitled to asses the level of students’ preparedness in a written or oral form. Upon establishing that the student’s level of preparedness is unsatisfactory, the lecturer is entitled to disallow the student’s participation in the classes and specify the manner in which he/she may obtain a “pass” to compensate for the absence. 8. The “pass” shall be given at the end of the semester in a manner and on the principles specified by the lecturer. 9. Order and cleanliness must be kept on the premises of the Department and on the location where the classes shall take place. Smoking is forbidden. Food consumption is forbidden during the classes. 10. Head of the Department shall take decisions in the issues not provided for in these Regulations. 11. These Regulations shall become valid on the date of their signing by the Head of the Department.
