dr Joanna Schiller-Rydzewska
Joanna Schiller-Rydzewska - the graduate of Composition and Theory of Music Faculty in the Academy of Music in Gdańsk (graduated with honors in 1997). She was a scholarship holder of Ministry of Culture and Arts and cities Gdańsk and Gdynia. In 1998 Joanna Schiller-Rydzewska was awarded 3rd place at XI Master Degree Dissertation Competition for her dissertation "Pierre Boulez's piano sonatas" written under supervision of Teresa Błaszkiewicz. Her interest in work of 20th century's composers resulted in doctoral dissertation "Augustyn Bloch - his life and works" written under supervision of professor Marek Podhajski. The doctoral defense was held in The Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music and Composition, Conducting and Theory of Music Department. Joanna Schiller - Rydzewska received title of Doctor of Humanities in the discipline of Arts.
