Procedures and ethical standards
The procedures and ethical standards are in line with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the guidelines contained in the announcement of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of May 29, 2013 on the criteria and procedure for the evaluation of scientific journals.
1. Procedures are intended to ensure the optimal substantive and editorial quality of scientific articles presented in the journal. Commercial considerations do not affect the decisions made in the editorial office regarding the evaluation of materials proposed for publication.
2. We expect the authors of the materials proposed for publication to guarantee the full originality of their texts. Authors are required to declare that the text submitted for publication is an original work that does not infringe any copyright provisions. If an article is co-authored, each author specifies a percentage of their own contribution. The authors also submit a declaration on the transfer of non-exclusive copyrights to the publisher and granting the publisher a license to distribute the article in all fields of use.
3. Scientific texts submitted by the authors for publication in the journal "Art Forum. Interdyscyplinarny Rocznik Naukowy” are subject to a review procedure. The review procedure includes two stages: in the first stage, the responsible editor gives an opinion on the submitted proposal and proposes the reviewers. In the second, the decision to accept the text for publication is made on the basis of external reviews. Each text as part of an external review procedure is assessed by two independent reviewers in the "double-blind peer review" mode.
4. Reviewers are required to be objective and to include arguments in the content of their review that justify the presented evaluation of a given article. Reviewers should have the knowledge necessary to adequately evaluate a given article. Decisions made during the review process are confidential.
5. The responsibility of the editor and publisher is to protect the personal data of authors and reviewers. During the publishing process, ethical and intellectual standards are respected. The integrity of scientific records and editorial standards is preserved.
6. Editors use all possible means to detect plagiarism. Editors are obliged to eliminate the phenomena of "ghostwriting" and "guest authorship". Therefore, authors are obliged to include in their articles accurate information about the possible participation of other people at all stages of the preparation of the submitted texts and to clarify doubts at the review stage.
