About Conference

The scientific symposium entitled "Stem Cells: Therapeutic Outlook for Central Nervous System Disorders" is addressed to everyone, who is interested in the latest achievements in the field of stem cells application in treatment of nervous system diseases.

The aim of the conference focuses mostly on the application of stem cells and non-invasive methods of transplantation in therapies of the nervous system disorders.

Planned lecture sessions and panel discussions will allow to present the results of research both at the preclinical and clinical stage, and exchange of opinions between scientists and physicians, including the standards of stem cells preparation and non-invasive methods of transplantation.

Among latest investigations, direct intraparenchymal and intravascular transplantation of stem cells and its influence on rates of survival, migration and differentiation of the transplanted cell will be presented. Moreover, the researches on mechanisms underlying vascular dysfunctions in neurodegeneration and the role of miRNA in mesenchymal stem cell immunoregulatory function and neurogenesis will be discussed. The most recent achievements in the field of animal models of neurodegenerative diseases treatment, such as intrathecal repeated application of hMSC into spinal canal and/or muscle injection and its effect on programmed cell death,  will also be shown.

We believe, that the Conference provides an opportunity to exchange the results of preclinical and clinical studies, views, ideas and technologies presented by excellent scientists from Polish and European leading research and medical centers.
