Leszek Szaruga (Warsaw University) - Home Disgrace After Years
The article discusses issues related to the interpretation of the socialist realist episode of Polish literature, in particular the participation in this movement of Wiktor Woroszylski, one of the most prominent representatives of the generation debuted after 2nd World War. An important role in the discussion has been played by Jacek Trznadel’s book Home Disgrace, a collection of interviews conducted with witnesses of that time, both contemporary advocates of the doctrine and opponents, which turns out to be an author's narrative aimed at explaining socialist realist experience and justifying engagement in communist ideology.
