dr Dariusz Konieczny, PhD

His academic interests concerns planning linear infrastructure tracks and the impact of existing and planned infrastructure on environment and property value. His research concerns transmission and distribution network for liquid substations, steam, gas, electric energy or other similar networks which are planned to be built. Other research consists transport infrastructure as roads, rails, airports etc. and their impact on environment and property value. Co-author of V.8 standard of Polish Federation of Valuers Associations „Rules of damage assessment caused by building underground and land infrastructure”, applied in 2002. Those rules were used in Temporary Interpretative Note V8 and now they are a part of professional literature for property valuers. In 2005 he got a doctorate degree for his work “Impact of under- and aboveground infrastructure on spatial management and property value” for which he got commendation from Council of Faculty of Geodesy and Spatial Management at University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn.

From 1998 to 2017 he took part in UWM statutory research and was dealing with the issue of impact of under- and aboveground infrastructure on special management. He was a main contractor of grant KBN no. 9 T12E 010 16 “Above- and underground infrastructure as the element impacting special and economic conditions of rural areas”, university grant 030300.206 “Sustainable Development of Rural Areas” where he was analyzing case titled “Impact of under- and aboveground infrastructure on spatial management in chosen municipality” and also university grant 0307.0821 “Conditions of Spatial Management in Northern Poland” where he was analyzing case no. 9, concerning technical infrastructure. He is an author and co-author of over 40 original articles published in national and foreign scientific journals, co-author of 2 textbooks, 3 monographs and about 50 specialist opinions, including court opinions. He is also co-author of Remuneration Valuation System (SSW) related to renovations of technical infrastructure networks, establishing transmission easement and regulating remunerations for using property without contract, made for GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. and applied in 2018. Promoter of numerous bachelor and master thesis, including the thesis awarded by Polish Association of Engineers and Technicians of Communication in 2014. In 2012-2016 he was a member of  education committee in Faculty of Spatial Management and Civil Engineering in UWM and in 2013-2016 a member of committee responsible for traffic organization in UWM campus.
