University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn has been again ranked in the Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2025

Results of Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2025 has been released!

In this year’s edition of the ranking, the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, like last year, was ranked in 1501+ range.  I the 1500+ range apart from our University there have been ranked: Bialystok University of Technology, Cracow University of Technology, Cracow University of Technology, Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, Lublin University of Technology, Lublin University of Technology, Rzeszów University of Technology, SGH Warsaw School of Economics, University of Life Sciences in Lublin, University of Lodz, University of Silesia in Katowice, University of Szczecin, Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences.

The highest ranking result among Polish universities was awarded to Medical University of Wrocław, which was ranked 501-600. Jagiellonian University and Warsaw University were ranked 601-800 and Medical University of Lodz was ranked in 801-1000 range.

The University of Oxford takes the top spot for a record-breaking ninth consecutive year in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025. Oxford has beaten Harvard University’s previous record of eight consecutive years at the number one spot from 2004 to 2011. 

This year 2,860 institutions submitted data, up six per cent on last year (last year it was 2,674) from 133 countries and territories. The World University Rankings 2025 has 2,092 ranked universities meaning 768 institutions gained “reporter” status, which means, although they submitted data, they did not meet THE’s eligibility criteria to receive a ranking.

The THE World University Rankings started with 200 universities and now has more than 2,000 making it the most global and inclusive ranking in the world.
