Environmental Engineering – Environmental Engineering

The Environmental Engineering programme focuses on solving engineering problems related to environmental protection and sustainable development. Graduates, awarded the title of Engineer, will acquire practical engineering skills based on a solid foundation in core subjects such as chemistry, mathematics, physics, biology, and microbiology. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of environmental components and the fundamental technologies used in water protection, wastewater treatment, soil remediation, land reclamation, waste management, and air pollution control. Particular emphasis is placed on the environmental aspects of bioenergy production and the microbial foundations of biotechnological processes in environmental engineering. Students will also acquire essential knowledge of environmental law, quality assessment, and environmental management, both from national and international perspectives. Our academic staff have extensive experience in teaching international students and are actively engaged in research, with numerous international publications and ongoing projects. We are committed to providing both theoretical and practical education, and our students participate in research activities in our modern laboratories. The Environmental Engineering programme offers an interdisciplinary approach that combines knowledge and practical skills to prepare students for a variety of career paths in the environmental sector.

Medical Studies

The university uses international education standards to prepare prospective doctors for medicine in the 21st century. The extend curriculum is based on strict European and U.S. standards and on integrated educational experience. All lectures, seminars and practical training are conducted in English.

Students have plenty of opportunities to join research teams in many academic departments, get experience in research. Studies of the Medical Program are preparing to work in the medical profession. Student enquires the skills of interviewing the patient, examination, proper diagnosis and treatment of the patient and provide them necessary assistance.

During the studies, students gain the knowledge and practical skills in prevention, treatment and rehabilitation which are necessary to practice medicine, further training and further research. Student learns the moral principles of conduct towards patients and their rights, rules of professional doctors co-operation and moral norms in medical research. Is aware of the legal and professional responsibility. After graduation student has theoretical knowledge and practical skills to practice medicine, also has opportunity to specialize in different areas of medicine.

After graduation students will receive a diploma of Medical Doctor (MD), which allows for applying for a license to practice medicine in USA, Canada, Europe and many other countries.

Veterinary Medicine

Veterinary medicine is a set of knowledge, skills, and competencies required to practice as a veterinarian. It combines basic and preclinical sciences, providing graduates with a general understanding of the functioning of living organisms and clinical sciences, providing detailed knowledge of animal diseases, their treatment, and prevention. Through practical training, you will acquire knowledge of performing basic surgical procedures on specific animal species, as well as the knowledge and skills to recognize, treat, and combat animal diseases. During your studies, you will participate in lectures, seminars, clinical curatorships, practical classes (auditorium, laboratory, clinical, dissection, and field), and in animal husbandry, clinical, and sanitary practices. This program has been accredited by the European Association of Veterinary Education Institutions (EAEVE) since 2005. This accreditation confirms the highest quality of education, compliant with EU requirements.

Biotechnology

This specialisation is all about using biotechnology in a smart, sustainable way – turning waste into valuable resources and building a greener economy.

Food Technology and Human Nutrition (intra-year recruitment) – Food Engineering

This unique 3-semester program combines cutting-edge knowledge in food engineering, bioprocessing, and advanced manufacturing systems with hands-on experience.
