    The implementation of the provisions of the Rector’s Order is the responsibility of the Chancellor and the Head of the University Support Centre – Psychological Support and Psychoeducation Centre “Empatia”.

    The person responsible for coordinating, implementing, and monitoring the Standards for the Protection of Minors is:

    Anna Piotrowska, MA – psychologist, sexologist, psychotraumatologist, crisis intervention specialist at the University Support Centre, member of the Equal Opportunities Committee appointed by the Rector of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.

    Reporting procedure

    In the event of suspected violation of the rights of a minor or a situation threatening their safety, the matter should be reported immediately in accordance with the established procedures.

    All reports are handled with confidentiality and with due regard to the best interests of the minor, in accordance with applicable procedures.

    If you experience prohibited behaviour or witness it – react!

    Prohibited behaviours:

    • use of physical, verbal, psychological, or sexual violence,
    • violation of personal integrity,
    • insulting, humiliating, belittling, or shaming, use of vulgar language,
    • offensive gestures, inappropriate jokes, inappropriate statements, forcing someone to engage in improper actions,
    • discrimination based on health condition, developmental and educational needs.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    The standards apply to all minors participating in university activities and to all persons who have contact with them as part of their professional duties, education, or organisation of events involving minors.

    The situation should be reported immediately in accordance with the established procedure.

    Detailed rules and procedures are specified in Rector’s Order No. 98/2024, and in paper form at the University Support Centre – Psychological Support and Psychoeducation Centre “Empatia”
